The Submission & Review Workflow

• Strong mechanistic relevance (either derived directly from empirical data or thoroughly evaluated within a robust biological framework in the Introduction and Discussion sections).

2. Peer Review & Timeline

Manuscripts that successfully pass the initial editorial screening are immediately routed to independent, expert peer review.

• Review Format: Double-blind (authors and reviewers remain entirely anonymous).

• First Decision Timeline: The first editorial decision is typically communicated to authors within 5 to 6 weeks from the date of submission.
